Please don’t miss the opportunity to see the dynamic Kelsey Parker!

As we know, training is more effective when it's catered to your audience. Design Thinking is a five-step process used to create. Integrating this into your training department is all about moving from problem-based training to solution-based training. The five steps--empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test--walk you through a thought process for creation that starts with what you hear from your audience, their struggles or successes, and ends with you testing the content you created on the appropriate audience. During the presentation, we will walk through the steps of the design thinking process and see how they can be implemented in training.

    Agenda:

5:00 p.m. - Doors open (networking, food, etc.)

    5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. - New Member Orientation

    6:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - Program

While reading a book or article, have you ever had those “aha!” moments when you connect the content to some part of your day-to-day life? What about those moments while reading or thinking over a cup of coffee when thoughts, questions, and ideas pop up in your mind that you wish you could share with others only to forget about those great ideas and questions 15 minutes later because of all of the other life distractions? What about those times when you wish you had someone around to show you how to accomplish a task or learn a new skill.  In this 2 part learning experience we’ll dive into some of these issues and try to figure out how social learning encourages us and our organizations to become receptive to a whole new world of ‘open’.

    Speaker: Rich Beaudrie

Rich has spent his entire career as a lifelong learner, thought leader, and educator. His passion for helping others learn and transforming the way we design learning experiences began as a 5th grade teacher, which led to a career in corporate learning innovation. How well does your resume represent you - would you like to know what a Talent Development professional thinks about it?

This is a hands-on workshop meant to help you score an interview in the Talent Development industry!

To kick things off, your ATD Greater Atlanta President-elect, Dave Adelman, will help you supercharge your resume with insight and advice to ensure your resume represents you and speaks volumes about your unique talents and abilities - while also engaging hiring managers and recruiters. After Dave's session you'll get a chance to make changes to your resume, if needed, while networking and enjoying a bite to eat with attendees and TD professionals.

To finish up - you'll have an opportunity to sit down, one-on-one, with a real TD hiring manager or recruiter - ready to review your resume and offer constructive insight and advice. This is a rare opportunity to get direct feedback from the people responsible for identifying and hiring top TD talent!

Even better news? This is only Part 1! Come back again in September for Part 2 when we'll be covering Interviewing Skills!

Be sure to bring copies of your current resume (printed and/or digital) and a laptop to make changes - to ensure your resume truly represents you! You can also bring, or have on hand, job descriptions for feedback on how well your resume lines up with your dream job.

    Sponsored by Intellum.
