Julie
Padgett
President
<p>Julie Padgett is Manager of Learning Execution with The Home Depot and has been with the company 14 yrs. Julie and her team are responsible for the Distance Learning program which she helped launch in 2010. Through this program, the trainers reach thousands of associates a month across the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii, totaling 47,000+ associates receiving Distance Learning training in 2015. Julie has received many awards during her yrs. with the company including 2 of The Home Depot’s highest award, the Executive Homer Award, for going above and beyond. <br><br> Julie is a passionate facilitator, manager, project manager and coach who thrives on helping others reach their potential. She has facilitated classes to a variety of learners, some of which include Coaching, Developing Teams, Branding Yourself, Leadership Acumen along with several other classes. She is MBTI certified and has a Project Management certification from Franklin-Covey. <br><br> Volunteerism is a passion for Julie who has been a member of several organizations and teams throughout the years. She has organized events for Boy Scouts with over 400 attendees, is a member of The Home Depot’s Women’s Link, and was on the Women’s Link Board in 2015 for their annual Forum which hosted 500 Home Depot associates. Julie has been a member of the Greater Atlanta ATD and ATD National for several years. After serving as a facilitator, Instructor Coordinator and then Director of the Goodwill Project for ATD, she is excited about the opportunity to serve in her new role and is looking forward to an exciting year.<br><br> Julie spends most of her free time reading, watching movies, and enjoying her family time. </p>

<p>Dave has been a member of the Atlanta Chapter since he moved to Atlanta in 2008. He has served the chapter as VP Community Relations, Director of Employee Learning Week, and various Director roles within Community Relations including: Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill, Atlanta Community Food Bank, United Way, and Strategic Partnerships.</p> <p>Dave is the Director of Training Services for Leadership Strategies, the Facilitation Company. In his role he teaches and certifies trainers on the company’s courses, manages the Core Team of Instructors and Facilitators, leads the Product Development Team, serves as a consultant for various clients, and is part of the Leadership Team.</p> <p>Dave has more than 25 years of experience as a Training Leader, Instructional Designer, Facilitator, e-Learning Designer, and Project Manager with world-class companies including Disney and Merck. He is an experienced consultant to senior leadership with deep experience in assessing training needs, identifying performance improvement opportunities, and delivering performance improvement interventions. Dave's experience includes creating comprehensive, branded, measurable training processes for the organization that are integrated with the talent management process, address performance gaps, and minimize costs while maximizing return on investment.</p> <p>When not working, Dave is a Brother in the Knights of Columbus, and is a member of the 2018 Catholic Charities Atlanta Leadership Class. He is also an award-winning home brewer and Certified Beer Judge. Dave enjoys spending time with his family, reading, hiking, and traveling.</p>

Thombley
Chief Financial Officer
Polly Thombley is the Chief Financial Officer of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of ATD. As CFO, she ensures that chapter funds are used to fulfill its mission while complying with chapter by-laws, ATD CARE requirements, and state and federal reporting requirements. The CFO monitors income and expenses over the year, presenting financial reports monthly to the Executive Board. <br><br> Polly is an Instructional Designer, known for creating engaging learning experiences, and is currently accepting full-time, part-time, or contract work for innovative companies devoted to performance improvement. <br><br> Polly brings to ATD and everything she does her passion for quality, her rich life experience, and her competence in education, technology, finances, and small business. For over ten years, she homeschooled three of her four children, two of whom went to UGA. She was a small business owner for four years. She has been an Resource Teacher for Crabapple Montessori School, observing countless examples of engaged minds at work everyday. Seeking a better fit for her gifts and experience, she discovered instructional design and joined ATD. She received the chapter scholarship and has earned two certifications from ATD in Designing Learning and Scenario-based E-learning. She designed courses with ATD’s Community Relations team at Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, and Must Ministries. Polly facilitated bimonthly Word and Excel classes for adults at Goodwill Career Center for more than a year. She has also created e-learning classes for 21st Century Leaders with Converging Solutions. <br><br> Polly lives in Cumming with her husband. They have four children, 2 girls and 2 boys. They have attended Browns Bridge Church for more than ten years.

Danielle
Slatinsky
VP, Community Relations
<p>Danielle Slatinsky is an Instructional Designer with The Home Depot. She develops engaging instructor-led and eLearning courses that help associates become more competent and confident in their roles. She is passionate about creating simple, relevant, and effective training solutions that produce results and align with the goals of the business.<br><br> Danielle has published several articles on learning and development topics, including one for Learning Solutions Magazine. She is a Six Sigma Green Belt and has a Project Management for Learning Professionals certificate from ATD. She also won the APEX Award of Excellence for a training guide she developed.<br><br> Volunteering in the community has always been a passion for Danielle. She has volunteered with several organizations, including Junior Achievement, Year Up, and Habitat for Humanity. Danielle has been a member of Greater Atlanta ATD and ATD National for many years, and she thoroughly enjoyed serving as the Director of the Habitat for Humanity partnership for Greater Atlanta ATD. She is really looking forward to her role as VP of Community Relations so she can continue serving ATD and the Atlanta community. <br><br></p>

Co-VP, Programming - Pro Dev and Events
Osiris Jolayemi, M.Ed., served as the Director of Programs, for the Association of Talent Development (ATD), and now serves as Vice President of Programming. She looks forward to an exciting year with the Greater Atlanta Chapter. Osiris and her team are geared up to plan programming that is enlightening to the Learning professionals who attend Chapter events. Osiris works with AdvancED’s Innovation Division as a Senior Innovative Learning Specialist, which allows her to design and deliver instruction for teaching and learning professionals. <br><br> She began her professional career as an elementary school teacher. During her professional tenure she taught various grade levels, ranging for Pre-Kindergarten to Fourth grade. She is grateful to have had the opportunity to touch so many lives in the school setting. Teaching and learning has been her passion all of her life. <br><br> Osiris transitioned from teaching in schools to the corporate world. She worked as a Corporate Trainer, and Training Consultant in Learning and Development for Verizon. Working in this organization helped to hone her skills in the adult education arena. Osiris holds a Masters Degree in Adult Education and Development. <br><br> Osiris and her husband Stephen live in Atlanta and enjoy spending time with family and friends, and travelling.

Tom Kuhn has helped Fortune 500 enterprises at global organizations including Novartis, Microsoft, HP, Volkswagen, Nissan, Regions, IHG, FedEx, McKesson, Marriott and more, drive the most current strategies behind gamification, personalized learning, engagement automation and microlearning in real life. Moving far beyond simple gamification elements like points, badges and leaderboards, he’s helped companies transform employee training and performance by connecting employees directly to their learning management systems and other core business platforms, like Salesforce, HRMS, and collaboration tools like Jive and Yammer – in real time. He enjoys sharing how companies like these are beginning to go beyond theoretical “just in time knowledge delivery” to adaptive microlearning triggered by daily employee behaviors. <br><Br> Tom is the VP of Community of Practice Programming with the Greater Atlanta Chapter of the Association of Talent Development. He is also the Director of Sales with GamEffective, a premier provider of gamification and microlearning to global enterprises.

Huprich
VP, Strategic Partnerships
Julia Huprich is the Director of Content Strategy at Intellum, an innovative technology company revolutionizing e-learning for companies like Google, Facebook, and Pinterest; she spends her days working to identify learning activities to enhance clients’ existing training programs. A former librarian, she previously worked as the Director of Training and Continuing Education for the Georgia Public Library Service, where she provided e-learning and in-person training for Georgia’s 4,000+ public library staff. She has been involved in training and development in the library field for over 10 years in several capacities, including instructional designer, trainer, and facilitator. She’s previously held leadership positions in the American Library Association’s Learning Roundtable and the Georgia Library Association’s Professional and Continuing Education interest group. <br><br> Julia is also a student at Georgia State University, where she’s earning her PhD in instructional technology; her research focuses on e-learning, technology acceptance, and open educational resources. She also has a master’s degree in Information Technology and a master’s degree in Library & Information Science. <br><br> When she’s not working or studying, Julia also volunteers with the Matthew E. Russell Foundation, a literacy non-profit working to establish libraries in rural schools in South Africa. <br><br> In her spare time, Julia enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and rescue dog.
Robert
Panetti
VP, Technology
Robert Panetti has been a Learning and Performance Strategist in the Atlanta area since 1999. He has done work for IBM, Beazer Homes, Amdocs, NCR and others. He is currently a consultant with Slalom and focuses on clients in the Financial and Public Sectors. He firmly believes that the human mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled. That learning how to learn, unlearn and learn again is the most valuable skillset one could possess. <br><br> Robert is a proud graduate of Florida State University and an avid follower of their football program. Senior Advisor
Cecil Fricano currently serves as a Senior Strategic Relationship Manager at Harvard Business Publishing since 2007. In this role, she works with organizations to achieve their strategic goals around Talent Management, Leadership Development, Change Leadership and People Management leveraging the thought leadership of the Harvard Business School.<br><br> Over the past 20 years, Cecil has worked with many organizations focusing on learning and people development. She began her career at Thomson Learning and moved into the eLearning corporate market in 2000 with companies such as Global Knowledge and SkillSoft. As a Regional Manager at Thomson, she successfully implemented new training and change management programs to help achieve growth in shifting business environments.<br><br> Cecil attended Brevard College and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.<br><br> Being a part of ATD Atlanta has been a great experience for her – having met many talented people, learned more about the impact of our profession and continuing to grow in personal development. As a volunteer leader, she has served as VP Membership, VP Community Involvement, Marketing support as well as Sr. Advisor. She is proud to be affiliated with so many great professionals and shared in the great accomplishments as part of one of the largest chapters of ATD. <br><br>

Mark Myette served as ATD Greater Atlanta President in 2011 and National Advisor to Chapters (NAC) from 2012-2014. He is an author and sought after speaker and facilitator. Throughout his business career, which began in 1983 and where he spent 24+ years within Fortune 500 companies, he has always loved being an advisor, catalyst, coach, connector, influencer, pioneer, stimulator and teacher. One of his favorite philosophies is around the concept of karma. Sowing positive seeds will, over time, produce positive outcomes as evidenced by his frequent appearance for career-focused webinars created especially for Emory alumni by the EAA. He earned his undergraduate degree from Boston University, an MBA from Emory's Goizueta School of Business, his Certified Professional in Learning & Performance from the Association for Talent Development (ATD).

Richard Fletcher is a well travelled southerner with an award-winning record of success managing corporate training departments, with special expertise in the retail and restaurant sectors. He excels at building and leading top-performing teams, improving training compliance as much as 300%, and promoting increased employee engagement. His teams have previously saved millions of dollars in training costs, implemented critical learning tools, and oversaw employee education for as many as 20,000 employees.<br><br> Richard has over 25 years of executive level experience in sales, operations, organizational development, training and talent management with other national companies such as Krystal, Wolf Camera, Zaxby’s and Sprint PCS.<br><br> Richard is a member of ATD currently serves as Sr. Advisor for ATD Atlanta. He is a Past-President of the Greater Atlanta chapter and served as chair of the chapter recognition committee for ATD and a national advisor for chapters. <br><br> Richard received a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University. He is a certified EQ-I, EQ-360 administrator and has received the Certified Hospitality Trainer (CHT) certification from CHART. When Richard isn’t busy developing talent, you can find him developing his swing on the golf course, enjoying his passion of photography or traveling. <br><br>

Don Bolen has been a Greater Atlanta chapter member since 2004. As a volunteer leader, he has served as VP Programming, Professional Development, Finance, President-elect, President, Senior Advisor and other roles. <br><br> At dBolen and Associates, he focuses on instructional design, learning strategy and project management. Previously Don was a learning leader at Delta Air Lines and WellStar Health System. Don has a MA in Journalism and Mass Communication and BA in History from the University of Georgia. Senior Advisor - Immediate Past President
Robb Bingham, Learning & Communications Strategist, Converging Solutions<br> (M.Ed., Curriculum and Instruction, University of South Florida) holds multiple awards for helping companies get strategic with training – especially in the space where learning intersects with communications and performance improvement. One company estimates a measurable savings of $3.7 million within the first year of implementing one of Robb’s design solutions.<br><br> Mr. Bingham has served organizations in a number of different roles, from Trainer, Designer, Developer, and Producer, to Team Lead, National Curriculum Manager, and External Consultant. However, he most enjoys helping start-up and new initiative teams work together developing new, creative solutions to relevant business problems using a framework he coined the Converging Solutions Problem Solving Model.<br><br> Robb also spent several years (back in the dark ages) performing and directing on the dinner theatre circuit.
