Join Daniel Guelzo, Director of Talent Development at Optomi for What is Your Plan B? Social Media and Your Career as he discusses how mid-career and senior executives should leverage social media to find their next career opportunity and manage their professional brands.

In this one hour lunch and learn, Guelzo will

  • explain how talent management professionals use social media to compete for and attract the best talent for their organizations
  • identify effective social media tools for networking
  • provide best practices for optimum use of Linkedin and other social media platforms
  • discuss how to establish a social media presence for personal branding and career success.

Daniel Guelzo joined Optomi in 2012 as the Director of Talent Development. Strategically hired as the first employee, Optomi knew that its success as a "startup" heavily relied on its ability to recruit, train and grow talent in a highly competitive industry. His dedication to the team and to Optomi’s success is uncompromised.  With a run rate of over $30 million dollars in its first two years of business, Optomi is one of the fastest growing IT staffing firms in the industry. Daniel’s training and on-boarding programs are a contributing factor to this rapid growth.

As evidence that corporate culture affects company performance, Optomi has earned the prestigious accolade of being one of the “Best Places to Work” in 2014 and 2015, awarded by Staffing Industry Analyst.

As you would expect, Daniel is no newcomer to either training or the staffing industry.  His passion for training was discovered and cultivated while serving in the United States Navy as an Antisubmarine Air Control Instructor.  Upon entering the staffing industry almost two decades ago, Daniel excelled in both sales and recruiting before moving into a management role.  Daniel was given responsibility over entire branches and regional groups.  While at Spherion from 2007 to 2012, he supported senior executives in driving recruiting and sales proficiencies. Daniel was also recognized for building a set of pioneering on-boarding training programs that were quickly adopted across all divisions.

Daniel describes himself as a “Social Networking Guru” and speaks both locally and nationally on social media and recruiting trends. He’s passionate about “paying-it-forward”. His work with career transition ministries in Atlanta earned him an interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC World News Tonight for a segment on career training.
