There is a need for learning the safe and legal uses of drones as well as a need for training on how to use drones for a variety of business scenarios. In addition, drones will be used to create training videos and photos for many industry and service business use cases.

sUAS is an abbreviation for Small Unmanned Aircraft System.  There are over 1200 individuals and companies in the U.S. that have received approval for commercial use of sUASs and more are applying for an exemption to fly them every day (including the presenters company).

As with many new technologies, the infrastructure, regulations, and training support trails the innovation and explosive growth in the marketplace.

This presentation will:

* Introduce what a sUAS is and its current and potential uses

* Explain what is required to use a sUAS commercially

*  Discuss training and certification of sUAS pilots and other possible training scenarios.

* Demonstrate a state-of-the-art sUAS with the aircraft's built-in simulation capability.

Our Presenter:

Larry Brambrut

Larry "punster" Brambrut is Creative Leader and owner of VeryMobileApps, LLC which has been developing mobile applications for businesses for 6+ years. Recently Larry has gotten interested in flying drones and has now applied to the FAA for an exemption to fly drones for commercial purposes.

Larry has over 90 flights with his Phantom 3 Advanced sUAS which has 2000 times the computing power of the Lunar Modules that landed on the moon.  His drone typically has access to 14-16 satellites for global positioning and is equipped with an HD video and camera system and advanced mobile app for real-time video streaming.
